This was painted as a present for a huge Radiohead fan who wasn't able to take any photos at a recent Radiohead concert. I tried to capture the mood & lighting of the concert we'd been to, as well as the angle we were seeing the show from. It's a lot of fun to paint something with lighting so extreme.
Excellent. My favorite among the paintings you've submitted thus far. And not because I like the band, though Radiohead is a nice band.
This painting is very easy on the eyes. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think it has to do with how easily you have made it for the eye to break the painting into columns. And then there's the nice contrast of the cool blues with the warm oranges.
The mood of a concert is portrayed very well. The bright lights, the smoke and fog, the constructs of the stage, and of course, the audience in the foreground.
This painting is exceptional anyways, but if you did this from memory and without a reference, it would make the painting that much more incredible.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
